Artist Michael Sailstorfer contacted A&O Lighting Technology for supporting one of his latest projects, named "infinite column" (2006). He was in need of a high-power floodlight.

In cooperation A&O Technology, manufacturer alpha one and the artist himself designed a housing for the high-power floodlight he searched for his project. The special designed architectural lighting fixture FALCON® STATIC ARC 7000W was realized and passed into the ownership of the Gallery König in Berlin.

The sculpture with the high-power lighting fixture built the focus of the showroom in the gallery, which opened during the football world champion ship, and was visible over long distances above the roofs of Berlin.

The custom made architectural searchlight was positioned in the middle of the gallery. Through the removed roof-light it gave off a 50 cm  x 5 km long and powerful beam of light.
