FALCON BEAM 7000W light up the iconic 360 degree Arcadia arena at the Glastonbury Festival

Fully immersive 360 degree arenas are key to the Arcadia experience. For this year´s festival Glastonbury’s Arcadia introduces “Pangea”, a new “industrial chic” attraction in the center of the Arcadia field. For the 50 metre high structure at Pangea’s heart the team from Bristol were looking for a lighting fixture that could transcend the installation’s scale. The high-performance FALCON xenon searchlights with over 300,000 source lumen and their great long-distance effect were the first choice for this phenomenal installation.

The FALCON BEAM 2 fixtures were mounted around the outer circle of the arena, creating architectural definition, a towering central focus and a stunning aerial display. Dorian Cameron-Marlow, Production Manager at Arcadia Spectacular: “The FALCONs integrated perfectly into our main lighting system and allowed the experience to take over the sky. They were easy to install and performed flawlessly throughout the weekend.”

Arcadia Spectacular is known for their immersive and monumental sensory experiences. The performance art collective combines elements of sculpture, architecture, recycling, pyrotechnics, lighting, circus and music into large scale performance and dance spaces. The Glastonbury Festival 2019 took place between June 26 and June 30. Over 200,000 people attended the UK´s biggest and most cherished event.
